Full Description
Ditched linear features in a field to the east of Park Farm are visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).
The features traverse a field from northeast to southwest where they feed in to a possible pond or reservoir situated on a historic field boundary and recorded on the OS 1st Edition map (2). The features align with a further ditched linear extending west from the opposite side of the pond; this feature is still extant a s atree-lined ditch on current Google Earth imagery.
The features are considered likely to be post medieval drainage ditches.
The site is still open fields on current Google Earth imagery and the features are visible as a wide irregular ditched cropmark. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
