Full Description
A group of irregular sarped hollows and a ruined 17.6m by 8m rectangular building on the northeast side of Dunyeat's Hill are visible on 1940s aerial photographs and current Lidar imagery (1).
The features correspond with clay pits and a former structure recorded on the OS 1st Edition map as part of the Gravel Hill Brick Works (2). Other buildings and structures within the brickworks are also recorded on the OS 1st Edition map, including kilns, but they were not visible in 1946 (1).
The site is under trees on current Google Earth imagery and the features are no longer visible. The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
