Full Description
Ditched linear features at Eye Mead, Pamphill, are visible on aerial photographs and current Lidar imagery (1-2).
The features comprise sections of narrow linear ditches located across two post medieval to modern fields. The majority of features clearly link into adjacent historic drainage channels and/or streams present on the OS 1st Edition map, including the River Stour to the northwest (3).
The features are presumed to be drainage ditches of probable post medieval date.
The site is still open fields on current Google Earth imagery. Some of the features are stll faintly visible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
