Full Description
Banked linear features at Lambs' Green, Corfe Mullen, are visible on aerial photographs (RAF 1947) and current Lidar imagery (Environment Agency 2015).
The features are broad and slightly sinuous in form. They are located within a large irregular historic enclosure recorded on the OS 1st Edition map, whose sinuous boundaries are likely to be medieval in origin. The features are considered likely to be historic field boundaries, also possibly medieval in date, although an earlier, potentially late prehistoric, origin cannot be ruled out.
The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
