Full Description
The site of a 'Tumulus' is marked on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition map on the ridge to the north of Round Hill Plantation, Wynford Eagle. A low oval mound, 23m by 15m across, is visible at this location on lidar imagery and was digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project; it potentially the site of a Neolthic oval barrow or a mutilated Bronze Age round barrow.
