Summary
An extensive medieval strip field system is visible as cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1970 to the east of Loxtree Fam, Evershott. The system extends over 55 hectares and was digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project.

An extensive medieval strip field system is visible as cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1970 to the east of Loxtree Fam, Evershott[1]. The system extends over 55 hectares and was digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project. The strip fields were very regularly laid out, each being approximatley 10m wide and running roughly north-south.
