Summary

A rectilinear banked enclosure is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the south-west of Chantmarle, Cattistock. It is considered likely to be medieval or later in date and was digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project.

Full Description

A rectilinear banked enclosure is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the south-west of Chantmarle, Cattistock [1]. Thye enclosure is 16m by 39m in size and considered likely to be medieval or later in date. It was digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project and has since been levelled by ploughing [2].
