Monument record MDO42699 - Second World War roadblock on Radipole Park Drive, Weymouth

Please read our .

Summary

The Pillbox Study Group note the site of a probable Second World War roadblock toward the southern end of Radipole Park Drive, its position approximating to what is now the entrance to Jubilee Close. The roadblock is inferred from RAF aerial photographs dated November 1946 and may mark the western end of a row of concrete anti-tank blocks visible at that time between Radipole Park Drive and the former Portland branch line railway.
