Full Description
A group of irregular sub-circular ditched features are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs on the north side of Haydon Lane, Melbury Bubb (1). The features may be extractive pits, possibly chalk pits, probably of post medieval date. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.
The features are still visible on current Google Earth imagery.
