Summary

A Bronze Age bowl barrow situated in woodland. In 1959 this monument was reported as being around 29 feet in diameter with a mound about 2½ feet high. It is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs taken in 1968.

Full Description

A bowl barrow; diameter 13 paces, height 2 1/2 ft. (Not mentioned by RCHM). <2>

A bracken covered bowl barrow with no visible ditch, situated in plantation of conifers. The barrow has a diameter of 12.0m,
and a height of 0.6m. <3>

SY 58308642. Abbotsbury 19. Grinsell recorded this barrow as 13 paces in diameter and 2½ feet in height. <4>

SY 583864. Round barrow in White Hill Plantation, Scheduled. <5>

A small bowl barrow is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs within White Hill Plantation. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project. <7>
