A sub-circular ditched feature is visible as an earthwork on 1940s aerial photographs in a field on the northeast side of Redpost Hill, Up Cerne (1). The feature may be a post medieval extractive pit. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.

The feature is still visible as a cropmark on current Google Earth imagery.
