Full Description
A sub-circular scarped feature is visible as an earthwork on 1940s aerial photographs on the north side of Long Ash Lane, Frome St Quintin (1, 2). The feature is recorded as an old chalk pit on the OS 1st Edition map (3). It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.
The feature is still visible as a cropmark on current Google Earth imagery.
