Summary

Three attached cottages, originally a single dwelling dating from the 18th century, with significant additions and remodelling in the mid-19th century, and in the 20th century. The building is of one and a half storeys with walls of rubble stone, flint and brick. The building is L-shaped on plan and comprises a range aligned south west - north east which was extended and modified in the 19th century with the addition of a range at right angles to the original building and parallel with the road, and a single bay addition at the east end of the existing range. A further bay was added at the north end of the roadside range in the late 19th century or early 20th century. From the late 19th century part of the ground floor of No.18 was used as a post office and shop; it closed in 1946.
