Summary

An elongated mound, thought possibly to be a Bronze Age bowl barrow. The site is visible as a low earthwork mound on lidar imagery and was digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cern and Piddle AIM Project.

Full Description

'C' - SY 82029905. An elongated mound, 0.2m high and approx 12.0m north east - south west by approx 9.0m north west - south east. The mound may be a possible barrow but it occurs at the junction of a lynchet and field bank and may be nothing more than a lynchet platform. <2>

'C' - (31) - SY 82019906. Bowl barrow, about 40ft diameter and 9 ins high in an area of recent ploughing. Grinsell lists all three barrows as bowl-type. <3-4>

'C' SY 82039905. An elongated low mound, 12.0 by 6.0 metres, height 0.2 metres. Possibly the remains of a barrow.
'A' and 'B' resurveyed, and 'C' Surveyed, at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <5>
