Summary

Substantial medieval strip lynchets on the north side of Rowbarrow Hill, which are an extension of the nearby field system between the hamlet of Adber and Rowbarrow Farm.

Full Description

At ST 595205, on the North side of Rowbarrow Hill, are at least 14 strip lynchets 340 ft. to 400 ft. long, aligned E-W with 20ft. to 40 ft. treads. They are an extension of the nearby broading which lies between the hamlet of Adber and Rowbarrow Farm, occupying at least 8 acres. <1>
