Full Description
A group of round barrows on Deverel Down in Milborne St Andrew and Winterborne Whitechurch parishes. 'D' - SY 82289935. Bowl barrow, 42ft diameter and 5ft high, adjoins the hedge forming the parish boundary. The centre has been dug into and the whole mound has been badly damaged by rabbits. A modern track has destroyed the ditch on the south east. (RCHM Milborne St Andrews No 37; Grinsell's Milborne No 10).

'D' - SY 82289934. Bowl barrow, diameter of mound 14.0 metres; height 1.5 metres. A ditch is visible on the south-west side only, 7.0 metres wide and 0.7 metres deep. Resurveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <5>
The site of this plough-levelled Bronze Age round barrow is visible as a low earthwork mound on lidar imagery <7> and was digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project.

‘(37) Bowl (82289935), 100 yds. E. of (36), adjoins the hedge forming the parish boundary with Winterborne Whitechurch. The centre has been dug into and the whole mound has been badly damaged by rabbits. A modern track has destroyed the ditch on the S.E. Diam. 42 ft., ht. 5 ft.’
