An area of post medieval water meadow to the east of Tarrant Rawston is visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery [1-2]. The water meadow extends for a distance ofover 1280m along the River Tarrant, to the northeast and southeast of Tarrant Rawston, comprising a linked system of channels and sluices, forming bedworks. A further area of water meadow to the northeast in Tarrant Monkton (MDO43823) may be a continuation of this feature.
