Summary

A rectilinear ditched enclosure is visible as a cropmark in a field to the northwest of Rawston Farm, Tarrant Rawston, on an aerial photograph dated 1995. The feature may be an enclosure of possible Iron Age/Roman origin and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Full Description

A rectilinear ditched enclosure is visible as a cropmark in a field to the northwest of Rawston Farm, Tarrant Rawston, on an aerial photograph dated 1995 [1]. The feature measures 48m by 45m and is located on the south side of a historic field boundary. The north side of the enclosure is not visible.
The feature may be of Iron Age/Roman origin and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
