Summary

A length of ditch visible on aerial photographs, and situated on a hilltop. The ditch curves around the contour of the hill and, though a complete circuit could not be seen, has been interpreted as a possible hilltop enclosure.

‘On a hilltop 400m east of the hillfort a further curving length of ditch may hint at the presence of another hitherto unrecorded enclosure (Fig. 2, E3).’
