Full Description
A large post medieval chalk pit with surrounding doughnut of spoil is visible as cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery in a field to the southwest of Ashley Wood, Tarrant Keyneston [1-2]. It is associated with a second smaller hollow also considered to be a post medieval chalk pit [3]. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Projects.
