Monument record MDO44237 - Post medieval chalk pits, Tarrant Keyneston

A large post medieval chalk pit with surrounding doughnut of spoil is visible as cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery in a field to the southwest of Ashley Wood, Tarrant Keyneston. It is associated with a second smaller hollows also considered to be a post medieval chalk pit. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Projects.
