It is considered to be medieval or post medieval ridge and furrow or a drainage system. The site was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project, it has since been levelled.

An area of parallel cultivation marks is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 [1] to the south of Mill Lane, Shapwick. It is considered to be medieval or post medieval ridge and furrow or a drainage system. The site was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project, it has since been levelled.
