Full Description
[Area Centred ST 58691427] "Till within a few years an arched stone building called the cross (in the form of the conduit at SHERBORNE, but of smaller dimensions) stood in the centre of the village. It was taken down ...." <1>
There is now no trace of this structure. <2>
[ST 58691427] No information was obtained upon this market cross during field investigation, but it may possibly have been situated immediately W. of the church, where the road junction is wide, and now has a small triangular green placed centrally in the junction. <3>
