They are considered likely to be an extension of the field system described in MDO4682 and were digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AI&M Project.

Fragments of a later prehistoric field system are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery within Eastcombe Wood, Shillingstone Hill, Shillingstone [1]. They are considered likely to be an extension of the field system described in MDO4682 and were digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AI&M Project. The features extend into the arable area to the south of New Barn.
