An extensive system of medieval or post medieval drainage ditches is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery along the western bank of the River Stour at Durweston. The features cover an area of over 28 hectares and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.

An extensive system of medieval or post medieval drainage ditches is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery [1-2] along the western bank of the River Stour at Durweston. The features cover an area of over 28 hectares and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
