Full Description
The house is of 17THC. Date but has been much altered. <2>
The house is known as LAWRENCE'S HOUSE. It is owned and occupied by DR ROGERS who is away for a few days. <3>
A stone built residence in an excellent state of preservation with no external feature of dateable antiquity except for a large chimney piece in the west wall. No reliable authority was available for the change of name. <4>

'The following monuments, unless otherwise described, are of the 17th century and of two storeys; the walls are of rubble and the roofs are thatched or covered with modern materials. Some of the buildings have exposed ceiling-beams and original fireplaces. … (25) Lawrence's Farm, house 200 yards E. of the modern church at W. Milton, has been much altered.'
