Full Description
A probable Post Medieval chalk pit is visible as a soilmark on aerial photographs. The site is centred at ST 9623 1082 and comprises an amorphous quarry which measures a maximum of 33m east to west by 28m wide. The quarry has been filled in on aerial photographs taken in 1953.
Note: the NRHE database gave no sources for this monument. See MDO45312 (which is another probable Post Medieval chalk pit close by) which may provide some indication of possible sources relevant to this area.
