Full Description
A possible block of medieval/post medieval ridge and furrow is visible as soilmarks on aerial photographs. The site is centred at ST 9483 0956 and comprises a series of broad parallel possible furrows that suggest a single cultivation block measuring at least 670m long and 340m wide. The ridges have been ploughed out although they are indicated by areas of lighter soil between the furrows, which are orientated roughly WSW / ENE up the contours. The cultivation block overlies the later Prehistoric oval enclosure known as Tarrant Launceston 15 (see ST 90 NW 15 / UID: 209410). <1>
