Full Description
An extensive area of banked linear and curvilinear features are visible as earthworks on Dean Hill and within Chetterwood in Tarrant Rushton,Tarrant Monkton and Moor Crichel parishes, on current Environment Agency lidar imagery [1]. The features extend over an area of over 3km by 2km and may be part of an extensive field system, of potentially later prehistoric date, although some features, particularly within the medieval Tarrant Rushton Deer Park (MDO5158) may alternatively be later features contemporary with this. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
The features may form part, or be a continuous extension, of similar field systems to the south(MDO43415). They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
