Please read our .

Summary

Areas of ridged cultivation marks at Boker's Farm, Lytchett Matravers, are visible as parallel earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs. The features are broad and curving and may be those of ridge and furrow cultivation of potentially medieval date. The areas are divided by linear historic field boundaries (MDO45640) of potentially post medieval date, which appear to overlie the earlier cultivation marks - although it is possible that they are all aprt of a contemporary field system. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
