Summary

A sub-rectangular ditched enclosure is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1995, 250m to the west of Ashe Farm, Charlton Marshall. The enclosure is 45m by 40m in size and has a large gap in the southeast corner which may be an entrance. Fragments of possibly contemporary ditched field boundaries are visible to the north and south. The features were digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AI&M Project.

Full Description

A sub-rectangular ditched enclosure is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1995 <1>, 250m to the west of Ashe Farm, Charlton Marshall. The enclosure is 45m by 40m in size and has a large gap in the southeast corner which may be an entrance. Fragments of possibly contemporary ditched field boundaries are visible to the north and south. The features were digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AI&M Project.
