Full Description
A sub-rectangular ditched enclosure is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 2002 <1>, to the northwest of Hillcrest, Charlton Marshall. Three sides of the enclosure are visible; it is 100m west-east and it's southern side abuts or is cut by an extant field boundary. A potentially contemporary linear ditch, possibly a field boundary or trackway, runs east-west to the north of the enclosure which is considered likely to be of Iron Age or Roman origin. The features were digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AI&M Project.
