Summary

Cropmarks of probable later prehistoric curvilinear enclosures in an accreted formation, some defined by ditches and others by lines of closely placed pits forming a funnelled entrance. Within these pit defined enclosures are numerous dispersed pits. Further curving ditches can be seen to the south of the main enclosure complex. These features are visible on aerial photographs taken in 2015 as part of the Historic England Reconnaissance Recording Programme.

Full Description

Cropmarks of probable later prehistoric curvilinear enclosures in an accreted formation, some defined by ditches and others by lines of closely placed pits forming a funnelled entrance. Within these pit defined enclosures are numerous dispersed pits. Further curving ditches can be seen to the south of the main enclosure complex. These features are visible at SY 8516 9930 on aerial photographs taken in 2015 as part of the Historic England Reconnaissance Recording Programme. <1>
