Full Description
Banked curvilinear features on Poor Common, Corfe Mullen, are visible as earthworks on a 1948 aerial photograph [1]. The features comprise two parallel curvilinear boundaries on the east side of a post medieval decoy pond. They do not feature on OS historic mapping. They are considered likely to be historic field boundaries, perhaps post medieval in date, although an earlier origin is also possible. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project. One of the features remains partially extant on 2021 APGB imagery [2].
