Full Description
A Chalk Pit is marked on the OS 1st edition map to the west of Riveridge Wood, Bere Regis <1>. It is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1944 <2> and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project. The site is 70m across and is associated with the lime kiln described in MDO7193.
