Full Description
A probable post medieval extractive pit within Marsh Wood, Morden, is visible as an earthwork on 1940s aerial photographs and current Environment Agency lidar imagery [1, 2]. The feature is most likely a chalk or gravel pit. The feature is shown but not named on the OS 1st Edition map [3]. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
