Summary

Banked linear boundaries to the north of Windmill Burrow Farm, Lytchett Matravers, are visible as earthworks on current Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features are considered likely to be field boundaries that form part of a rectilinear field system of posible later prehistoric origin, although a date between late prehistoric and medieval is possible. The field system might be a continuation of one to the north (recorded under MDO46784). The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Banked linear boundaries to the north of Windmill Burrow Farm, Lytchett Matravers, are visible as earthworks on current Environment Agency lidar imagery [1]. The features are considered likely to be field boundaries that form part of a rectilinear field system of posible later prehistoric origin, although a date between late prehistoric and medieval is possible. The field system might be a continuation of one to the north (recorded under MDO46784). The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
