Summary

A small sub-circular hollow to the west of Old Park Farm, Lytchett Matravers, is visible as an earthwork on 1940s aerial photographs. The feature is recorded as an old gravel pit on the OS 1st Edition map. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Full Description

A small sub-circular hollow to the west of Old Park Farm, Lytchett Matravers, is visible as an earthwork on 1940s aerial photographs [1]. The feature is recorded as an old gravel pit on the OS 1st Edition map [2]. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project. The feature is still visible as a low depression on 2002 Google Earth imagery.
