Full Description
[SY 4793] Lynchets, on the SE side of WATTON HILL, consist of traces only of former terraces. <2>
Centred at: SY 47159370. Pronounced approximately parallel terracing, following the contour on a steep hillside. The area was under young trees and was not closely investigated. The boundary of the area was delineated from a distance. <3>
At the North end of Watton Hill, 2 strip lynchets with 50 foot treads extend 220 yards towards the western group of lynchets (noted by Auth 2). <4>
The two lynchets are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and were digtially plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP project. <5-7>
