Full Description

SY 6897. A small scatter of Romano-British material including tegulae, imbrices, several small sherds of samian, the rim of a buff fabric C2nd mortarium and a worn sestertius of Hadrian (AD 117-138), was found towards the north-east of Charminster parish. Reported by Mrs S.M Campbell. <1>

‘CHARMINSTER (ST 6897). Mrs S. M. Campbell reports a small scatter of Romano-British material towards the north-east of the parish. The finds include tegulae, imbrices, several small sherds of samian, the rim of a buff fabric 2nd-century mortarium and a worn sestertius of Hadrian (AD 117-138).’
