Summary

Ring ditch of probable Bronze Age date. Recorded as a soil mark in a ploughed field. The site is visible as a cropmark ring ditch on aerial photographs and was digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project.

Full Description

A rapid examination of air photography suggests the presence of a third possible round barrow, of Prehistoric or Roman date, visible as a ring ditch cropmark at SY 8262 9686 ('C'). <1>

The site is visible as a cropmark ring ditch 23m across on aerial photographs<1.1> and was digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project.
