A late Bronze Age palstave axe head.

Full Description

A plastave with wing-shaped flanges and deep flat bedded shoulder. the blade is adorned with a rat's-tail ridge on each face. The ring is broken. From Winterbourne Steepleton, it was presented by T Wood to Dorset County Museum. <1>

No further information was obtained upon this axe during field investigation.<2>
