Full Description
Parish church of St Bartholomew. The plan consists of a nave, chancel, north chapel, north and south porches and west tower. <1>
The parish church of Saint Bartholomew at Shapwick retains 12th century work on the north side of the nave. Additions were made, and rebuilding carried out, in the 14th century, and the west tower was completed in the 15th century. The church was restored and the chancel was largely rebuilt in 1878. <2>
