Full Description
Presented to Dorset Co. Museum in 1925 by Mr. Dayrell-Reed of Wood Town Farm, West Parley. Locality given as
West Parley.
Mus. No. 1925/3/1. Ground and polished flint axe. Light brown. L 5.2" W.2.4" T.1.3"
Mus, No. 1925/3/2. Grey flint barbed and tanged arrowhead. Tang broken L.97".

Mus. No. 1925/3/5. Neolithic type horseshoe flint scraper. Greyish brown flint.

All finds were made within the area enclosed on the north by Parley Cross - Hurn Road, on the west by the Parley Cross to Ensbury road, on the east by the county boundry and on the south by the riverStour. The precise spot of individual finds cannot be recalled. (2)
From the area mentioned above, on and around Wood Town Farm,a large quantity of unclassifiable worked flints have been found over the years scattered about the fields. Occasionally odd sherds of Romano-British and Medieval ware have also been found.
A box of some 200-300 worked flints were presented to the investigator. About 30 of these showed marked secondary working for blade implements and scrapers, but all were unfinished, broken or defaced. (3)
