Full Description
A large irregular hollow feature on Buckland Bottom, Buckland Newton, is visible as an earthwork on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery [1, 2]. The feature is considered likely to be a post medieval chalk pit and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.
