Full Description
A sub circular hollow feature to the north of Giants Head Farm, Cerne Abbas, is visible as an earthwork on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery [1, 2]. The feature is recorded on the OS 1st Edition map as an old chalk pit [3]. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.
