The features are considered to be field boundaries of probable post medieval date. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.

Banked rectilinear features to the east of Lane Cottages, Minterne Magna, are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery [1, 2].
