Full Description
A rectilinear ditched enclosure is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs to the west of Longmead, Milborne St Andrew (1-2). It is 62m by 59m in size with internal subdivisions and strikingly similar to that described in MDO45979 to the north. The enclosureis associated with several ditch fragments which may be parts of other enclosures or field boundaries. The features are considered likely to be Iron Age or Roman in date, they were digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project.
