Summary

Fragments of a banked field system are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery to the south and west of Weatherby Castle, Milborne St Andrew. The features cover an area of over 12 hectares and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project. They are considered likely to be contemporary with the hillfort and therefore of Iron Age or Roman date.

Fragments of a banked field system are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery to the south and west of Weatherby Castle, Milborne St Andrew (1). The features cover an area of over 12 hectares and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project. They are considered likely to be contemporary with the hillfort and therefore of Iron Age or Roman date.
