Full Description
Parallel banked features are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery to the eastern side of the Milborne Brook, Milborne St Andrew (1). They are in the vicinity of the watermeadows described in MDO48243, to the west of Weatherby Castle. The features are considered likely to be medieval cultivation marks or ridge and furrow, possibly associated with the deserted medieval settlement on the western side of the brook (MDO4351). The features were digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project.
