Summary

Linear banked features on Weam Common Hill, Cerne Abbas, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery. They are considered likely to be field boundaries of possibly medieval date, although a later prehistoric origin is also possible. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.

Linear banked features on Weam Common Hill, Cerne Abbas, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery [1, 2]. They are considered likely to be field boundaries of possible medieval date, although they are within an area of later prehistoric fields and could perhaps be older in origin. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.
